Vintage Melba Ware Old English Sheepdog Ornament - Large - Porcelain - Collectible

Vintage porcelain Old English Sheepdog by Melba Ware, made in England, such a lovely piece. Grey and off white in colour. Two available, so take your pick :-

A - Good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. On close inspection crazing can been seen in areas which is to be expected due to its age.

Approximate dimensions - 8 inch tall and 8 1/2 inch wide.

B - Good vintage condition. Has a small chip to back leg and a little mark to front and small scratch on back (see photographs). Also crazing. This dog looks older than dog A.

Several Staffordshire companies manufactured goods under the name ‘Melba’ but 'Melba Ware' was the name of a range produced by H. A. Wain & Sons Ltd, who were well known for their ceramic animals. They began production in 1946 and ceased in the mid-1980s.

The item will be very well wrapped in tissue paper and bubble wrap and packed to ensure that it gets to you safely.
