Vintage Large Carved Sailor Bottle Holder - Unusual - Rare - Prop - Collectible - Marine Ornament - Man Cave - Bar

Unusual rare wooden sailor bottle holder, a real conversation piece. Hand made/painted.

I've had to estimate the year it was made simple because I am unable to locate anything similar. He has been made to look rustic, as you can see from the photographs he looks a little dirty in places but this is down to how it has been painted. He certainly was a little dusty when I acquired him so he has got age to him. He would have originally had a bottle of alcohol that fitted inside and could be closed and hidden away! There are hinges to one side and a special little clasp to the other side to keep it secure. The hinges are now a little loose. There are a few marks in places that could either be filled or just painted over but it does give him character and shows his age.

I think he is a fabulous character and if you are a person that collects all things marine, then this would be a perfect addition. Would look great on display. NB: No bottle inside piece.
